Documents to provide

  • Photocopy of your Monegasque ID card (front and back) or residence permit
  • Original foreign driving licence, currently valid
  • Driving record or certificate from the issuing country, less than 3 months old, stating that the right to drive is neither suspended nor cancelled
  • 2 photographs (front-facing)
  • Service des Titres de la Circulation fee: 1 cheque payable to the Service des Titres de la Circulation (amount given at registration)

Translation: documents must be written in French or accompanied by an official translation by a sworn translator in Monaco or in France. The list of translators is available from the Court of Appeal of Monaco.

Please note: if you hold several categories and wish to exchange them, the application must be made at the same time.
